C.L.I.C. - Challenging Cancer and Leukaemia In Children
Alan Pierce and his intrepid companions have now completed their mammoth cycle ride across the country, covering exactly 321 miles in aid of C.L.I.C. and Sussex Springers.
With Justin unfortunately falling victim to Sciatica on the eve of the ride, Alan, Kevin and Tony completed the ride in the three days as planned, arriving at the King Alfred in Hove at about 8:30 pm on Friday 4th June.
A full report of the ride has now been prepared and can be found by looking here!
If you want to find out what really happened, you'd best ask Alan!!
C.L.I.C. need to raise £35,000 to pay for a respite care nurse. Five families in the UK learn that their child has a potentially life-threatening condition of either Cancer or Leukaemia every week. 60% of these families will split up through lack of support for the emotional and practical difficulties they will face over the three year treatment period. C.L.I.C. is the only children's charity to provide the complete range of services to families when faced with this situation.
Sussex Springers are trying to raise money towards buying more of our own equipment and in due course, our own premises. This will enable us to expand and provide more places, both competitive and recreational, within the club.
If you feel the need to sponsor Sussex Springers, an e-mail to al19881@tiscali.co.uk will enable you to lighten your bank balance by any amount you want.
